Wyvern (ワイバーン Waibān) is the first boss of the stage 7 in the Arcade version of Gradius III, coming before the Vulture Dragon.
Attack patterns[]
Wyvern is an easy boss; its attacks are slow and it spends most of the time simply flying about and exposing its weak point; its chest. After dying it transforms into the Vulture Dragon.
Trivia[]
- The Wyvern appears to have a core embedded within its chest.
- It is originally planned for it to appear in Stage 1, with Goliath appearing in Stage 7. Their places are swapped in the final version.
