The Return of Cosmic War

The Return of Cosmic War is the fifth stage in Otomedius Excellent.

Overview[]

This stage takes place at the Low Earth Orbit and the warring sides of the Bacterian War exchanging fire at each other. The Gradian side utilizes Light and Heavy Battleships while the Bacterian side uses Heavy Destroyers, A.P.S ships, and Ammo Tender ships.

Trivia[]

The entire battle in the background is a reference to the Famicom game, Cosmic Wars, although it borrows some elements from two Thunder Force stages, Air Raid (Thunder Force IV) and Federation Planet (Thunder Force VI), and one Salamander 2 stage, Huge Battleship.
