Temple is the sixth and extra stage exclusive to the PC Engine CD version of Gradius II.
Overview[]
The stage is reminiscent of both stage five of the NES version of Life Force (Temple Zone), stage one of Gradius III and the temple stage of Nemesis 2. You navigate your way through crumbling ruins that are in the middle of a desert. Sphinxes attack the Vic Viper, columns try to crush him, and he has to fight a boss that is a combination of the Crystal Core and Big Core MK III, the Desert Core.
