Stinger Kid (スティンガーキッド Sutingā Kiddo) is the first form of the boss in stage six of Gradius Gaiden.

Attack patterns[]
Stinger Kid tries to track you, firing 5-way stamen spreads and 4 homing fireballs every few seconds. The announcer tells you to "shoot the center!" By this he refers to the center of the flower, where the stamen spreads come from. Once you give him a good pasting, he's down, so there's nothing to worry about, right? Wrong! Stinger Kid returns in a more powerful form, known as Hunter Fang.
