The Riot Warship (ライオット艦 Raiotto Kan) is a recurring boss in the Gradius series.
Description[]
The Riot Warship is an upgraded version of Big Core, sporting six lasers instead of four. It is the boss of stages 1 and 13. In Nemesis '90 Kai, not only does it have the six lasers but it also shoots homing missiles.
Attack patterns[]
The Riot Warship acts just like Big Core MK I. It moves up and down shooting its weapons at you. In the X68000 version, be careful of the shrapnel bullets after shooting the core armor.

- The Riot Warship is probably named after American heavy metal band Quiet Riot, which became popular during the '80s with hit songs like "Cum On Feel the Noize" and "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" (both cover songs of British glam rock band Slade), and "Metal Health".
