The Metalion Solar System is the solar system in which the Gradius series takes place. Many planets are located inside it.

The Gradius Empire, the main ruling force in this system, aims to protect its planets from external threats, especially the Bacterian Empire. The super spatiotemporal fighter, Metalion, equipped with the Hyperdrive System 11, defends Gradius and its allies.
