Iggy Rock (イギー・ロック) is one of the main characters of the MSX version of Salamander.

Story

Iggy Rock is a super space-time fighter pilot of the Gradius Space Air Force Academy. He is also a major member of the Space Science Theory Research Team, having mastered interstellar movement navigation theory. During the Salamander attack to Latis in 6709 he was sent by Emperor Lars XVIII alongside Zowie Scott in a mission to liberate the planet. He pilots the Sabel Tiger fighter.

Iggy Rock's name is a possible reference to American musician Iggy Pop.
