Historic Soldier is a music theme originally composed by Miki Higashino for Gradius, it was used for the ranking in the arcade and PCE version and title/ranking screen for the Sharp X68000 version.
It later reappeared in Gradius ReBirth where it was used for the beggining and ending of the missions.
