Grave is the easier of Gradius Gaiden's Stage 2 bosses. Take the lower path to fight it. He is a small core warship that seems to be possessed by Zelos.
Attack Patterns
Grave starts off using it's four tentacles to grab trash and cake itself with it. The trash can be destroyed with minimal effort, but Grave likes to grab A LOT of trash. After he's done armoring himself, he charges a six way laser and ejects all the trash on him. If you like death, by all means don't destroy the trash as he grabs it. After the six way laser, you should have blown his only barrier off. By this time, he'll start grabbing trash again, but he also tries to "punch" you. By now, he should be almost dead, so show no mercy! His only barrier has a medium amount of health, and his core has a slightly larger amount. When he dies, he explodes, but as he explodes, you see Zelos, hinting that Grave was just junk pulled together into a core by Zelos. Nifty, eh?
