- For other uses, see Gofer (disambiguation).
Gofer's Lair is the eight and final stage in the NES version of Gradius II.
Overview[]
Gofer's Lair is the final stage after the mechanical base of the Walker is destroyed in the previous stage. It reverses back into organic life; it essentially reverts back into Gofer's body. This level features the song "Something Ghostly" that has been used again in the fourth stage of Gradius ReBirth.
A completely rehashed version of the first stage from Salamander and Life Force, except that it becomes much harder if the player dies, as they will be sent back to the previous stage, starting with the boss.
