Fortress Gate is the boss of Stage 4 in Gradius: The Interstellar Assault.
Attack patterns[]
Fortress Gate attacks by using its missile firing turrets and firing plasma shots. Depending on the difficulty, the plasma shot will split into 3-5 shots upon being destroyed. Also, Duckers will travel along the bottom and occasionally shoot in order to distract the player. The missile turrets can be destroyed even though there is no indication that they're taking damage.
