Dellinger Core (デリンジャーコア Derinjā Koa ) is the last boss of the boss rush in Gradius III. He also appears as the second-to-last boss of the boss rush in Otomedius Excellent. The SNES version of Gradius III calls this Grim.
Attack patterns
Dellinger Core attacks by firing slow-to-medium speed volleys of beams. In the SNES version, he gains an extra attack of trying to ram you and can shoot diagonally as well. In Otomedius Excellent, he starts out trying to ram the player a few times before unfurling to fire the beam volleys (which are faster and more numerous in higher loops), turning back and forth to fire them in different directions, as the picture below shows. He then curls up and repeats this pattern.
