Dellinger Core (デリンジャーコア Derinjā Koa ) is the last boss of the boss rush in Gradius III. He also appears as the second-to-last boss of the boss rush in Otomedius Excellent. The SNES version of Gradius III calls this Grim.
Attack patterns[]
Dellinger Core attacks by ramming two times at the player, then firing slow-to-medium speed volleys of beams. In the Super NES version, he gains an extra attack by shooting lasers diagonally.
In Otomedius Excellent, it starts out trying to ram the player a few times before unfurling to fire the beam volleys (which are faster and more numerous in higher loops), turning back and forth to fire them in different directions. It then curls up and repeats this pattern.

Trivia[]
- Due to a bug, the last barrier doesn't disappear after it is destroyed in the arcade version of Gradius III. This was fixed in the Super NES version of the game.
- The Dellinger Core may be named after the Dellinger crater.
