Dellinger Core (デリンジャーコア Derinjā Koa) is the last boss of the boss rush in Gradius III. It also appears as the second-to-last boss of the boss rush in Otomedius Excellent. The SNES version of Gradius III calls this boss "Grim".
Attack patterns[]
- Note: All attack names are purely conjectural.
- "Dellinger Slam" - Dellinger Core attacks by ramming two times at the player (Only once in the SFC/SNES version).
- "Beam Shot Dellinger" - Dellinger Core fires slow-to-medium speed volleys of beams. In the Super NES version, only he gains an extra attack by shooting lasers diagonally, he also gets wider and thicker lasers than the Arcade one, making this boss harder. In Otomedius Excellent, it can turn back and forth while firing beam volleys in different directions.

Trivia[]
- Due to a bug, the last barrier doesn't disappear after it is destroyed in the arcade version of Gradius III. This was fixed in the Super NES version of the game.
- The Dellinger Core may be named after the Dellinger crater.
- During the early development of Gradius III, it was originally named the Bellinger Core.
