Cell is the second stage in Gradius ReBirth.
Overview[]
This stage takes place inside the wreckage of a Core Warship infested with numerous cells around the stage. Some cells divide in an attempt to narrow the terrain around the player. Attempting to eliminate them would result in the cells aggressively regenerate within and beyond their usual boundaries.

Trivia[]
- The nature of those cells are based on the regenerating walls found in the first stage of Salamander. In addition, the properties of it are based on real-life malignant cancer cells dividing beyond their intended boundaries.
