Cell is the sixth stage in Gradius.
Overview[]
The Vic Viper must shoot its way through the crystal-like growth and fend off the Amoebas as there are more bullets to dodge than usual. There is not a Sub Boss in this level.
The boss in Cell Stage is Nucleus. The strategy to beat this organic enemy is to stay to the very left and up a little bit so the Vic Viper will be in a position to where its options will shot the bullets away for it and shoot at the center until Nucleus is destroyed.

- This level and the last stage are the only ones in the arcade version of Gradius where the player does not fight a Big Core. Also, Cell is the only stage in the Arcade version which does not have a Sub Boss (the NES version has two levels without Sub Bosses).
