Bloody Gate (ブラッディーゲート Buraddī Gēto ) is the mini-boss of the ninth and last stage in Gradius IV.
Description[]
Bloody Gate is a gunwall acting as mini-boss in the Final Fortress. He is fought halfway through the stage, and has not appeared since then.
Attack patterns[]
Bloody Gate has a relatively simple attack pattern. The walls move up and down sporadically, all the while Bloody Gate's four laser cannons are targeting the player. These cannons can be destroyed easily, but they regenerate a few moments later. While regenerating, the player is given ample time to move before the cannons are deployed. In addition to all this, it has two hatches which are constantly generating Duckers. These hatches can't be destroyed. Bloody Gate has two cores, each core has 5 barriers.
Trivia[]
- Bloody Gate, as its name suggests, is red.
- It and the succeeding gunwall, Keeper's Core, can replace the destroyed turrets to mitigate the inherent flaw found from its predecessors.
