Blizzard Crawler (ブリザードクロウラー Burizādo Kurourā) is the first boss in Gradius Gaiden.
Description[]
The Blizzard Crawler is a large worm that comes out from the snow. The main threat in this fight is the creature's large body. When the announcer yells: "Attack from behind!", you can get a few potshots in on his tail. Blizzard Crawler will poke its head out from underneath you and fire a few ice chunks. The chunks are easily destroyed, but don't get too close, as it will try to ram you after it's done shooting. After this, it tries to ram you again, then appears at the bottom of the screen and fires a few easily avoided lasers from its back. It will then appear at the top of the screen, fire ice chunks, and attempt to ram you once more. Its pattern will then repeat.
Its weak spot (his tail) has little HP, so it's fairly easy to kill it. Upon death, it will roar and disintegrate.
