Anna Pavlova (アンナパブロワ Anna Paburowa) is a recurrent character in the Parodius series.
Description[]
Anna was first introduced as the boss of the first stage in Gokujō Parodius!, where this giant panda appears from a large "ocean" of toys wearing a ballerina tutu. Much like Judy, she has a duck-like parasite attached to her head called Melora which acts as her weak spot.
She reappeared in several following titles in the Parodius series, either as a playable character or just making a cameo.
Attack patterns[]
Anna has a single attack: the pirouette. She cannot be harmed while spinning and will send waves upon waves of toys from the bottom of the screen, in a similar manner as the traditional Volcano from the Gradius series. She'll walk the length of the screen inbetween this attack.

- Her name is a reference to Anna Pavlova, a famous Russian ballerina.
- Melora, the parasite Anna has on her head, shares its name with Princess Melora, a character from the TwinBee series, although it's unknown if there's any connection between both characters.
- Anna also makes a cameo appearance in one of the minigames of the THE ★ BishiBashi.
- The minigame background is also a reference to Circo Porto Harborland.
