Amoebas (アメーバ) are organic enemies introduced in Gradius, in the Stage 6, Cell.
Attack Pattern
Amoebas float towards the Vic Viper. They are often found tucked into the crystal-like growth that must be shot through in the Cell stage, but will leave through this growth to reach the Vic Viper no matter what.

- The Nemesis 2 version of this enemy is named Flotsam, this name being a reference to the thrash metal band Flotsam and Jetsam.
